Enjoyed the past couple of snow days with my boys. We cooked, played board games, watched movies, and ate....a lot! I hope those of you affected by the weather stayed warm, safe, and dry. As for me, I am already dreaming of Spring days ahead....
January is a great time to shop for a coat or jacket. The stores are already displaying their Spring fashions and clearing out the Winter inventory. Besides that, if you shop in January not only will you find a great deal but also a great selection. Here are a few of my favorites from Forever 21. Oh and guess what....Free Shipping when you spend just $50. Which one is your favorite, would love to hear in the comments below.
Last year I was lucky enough to be chosen among a group of bloggers to attend a birchbox event featuring the cosmetics brand MakeColour (more on that here). Since then I have become a huge fan of not only the cosmetics, but the mission behind the brand. Today I am excited to announce a collaboration and GIVEAWAY! One lucky reader will win a MAKEcolour Defining Mascara and Glitter Shadow in Quartz. This mascara has quickly become one of my favorites, it not only lengthens but also separates. The shadow is made with a crease-free formula and can be layered for maximum intensity. I am certain you will LOVE both these products and the mascara will quickly become a staple in your makeup bag.
This Giveaway is open to those 18 and over living in the Continental US. Ends on Sunday January 25, 2015 at 11:59pm EST. Winner announced Monday January 26th, Good Luck!
These are a few pieces I just can't get enough of! The metallic booties and dressy joggers are on their way to my closet, the BIRDIE statement necklace (part of Stella & Dot's Spring Line) you guessed it, she's already mine! Collarless coats and faux fur scarves why yes please! Would love to hear what you're currently crushing in the comments below.
An oversized blazer is the perfect companion to my jeans & flats. In this case I used it in place of a coat. Add a hat, scarf, and done. I was able to enjoy my metallic flats sans the socks before the frigid weather hit. Now I'm just dreaming of warmer days ahead!

2014 was a full blown roller coaster ride. Full of love and loss, milestones, discoveries, a little travel, a new hair style, and the list goes on and on. I am grateful for each day no matter what it brings because tomorrow is never promised. I want to continue to learn, take risks, maybe even try something new. This blog has been an outlet for me to share what I love but most importantly to have fun. I'd like to take a moment to thank you all for stopping by, commenting, sharing, and supporting me along the way. I'd like to thank my family & friends for all their love and support. Thank you to my son Josh for his creativity, patience, and for being my part time photographer. And last but certainly not least thank you to my husband for his continuous love and support, for being my biggest cheerleader, and at times my photographer too. Today happens to be his birthday so if you are reading this (and you better be, ha ha ) happy birthday my love, I look forward to celebrating you. Cheers!
As always thank you for stopping by, I'm incredibly grateful!
Today is the first Monday of 2015 and this is my 100th blog post. Although I have been blogging for a while now and my 100th post should have happened some time ago, my relationship with blogging has been one of ups and downs or one may call it an on again off again relationship. I think the main reason for this has to do with whatever I happen to be going through at different times in my life, the worst of it being the loss of my mom. The past few years have been full of learning, acceptance, and personal growth. This year I decided to follow in my friend Kristen's footsteps and instead of making New Years resolutions (which I never ever keep) I decided to choose a word, my word, and work on that word each day. I chose the word "commit". I commit to live each day to the best of my ability. I commit to be the best version of myself, and I commit to putting myself first sometimes because that's ok too. I commit to learning from my mistakes, moving on, and letting go! What will your word be this year and why? Please tell me in the comments below. I hope you all had a wonderful Holiday Season and I sincerely wish 2015 is wonderful to you! As always thank you for stopping by!
I hope you all had a very Happy Holiday! Mine was filled with family, food, and fun. What else could I ask for. Since Christmas I have been under the weather and nursing an upper respiratory infection. I am finally feeling a bit better but definitely have a case of cabin fever! I have 2 more days of antibiotics and hoping to feel 100% better before we say goodbye to 2014! Just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a New Year filled with love, peace, and happiness!
