It's was a gorgeous Fall day in the neighborhood. Near 70 degrees in November, I could certainly get use to that! I spend some time in my favorite borough with a few of my favorite people and tried a new little burger spot. Hello Bklyn and hello Mac & Cheese Burger!!! The food was delicious, prices were reasonable, and hip hop played over the speakers, I will definitely be coming back! 

This dress is from Holiday Boutique in Historic Beacon Hill, MA. I purchased it on my last visit to Bean Town and this was the perfect day to wear it. It's from one of their very own signature collections. This one is from the 'PRETTY LITTLE SISTER' line. It's a faux suede navy dress. It is absolutely the softest material I have ever felt. If you are ever in Boston, please stop by Holiday Boutique, it is such a gem and the staff is absolutely wonderful. The selection of clothing and accessories is superb. Aside from carrying their own line they also carry smaller fashion labels which I love. If you cannot make it there you can check them out online.

Last Sunday we celebrated Mother's Day. The weather was perfect and brunch at Miranda was delicious as always, if you're in the neighborhood you must try it. Best of all I did absolutely nothing except enjoyed and relaxed. I hope all the mommies and mommies to be had a great day also.

I admit it I can't resist a cupcake! I don't even have to be hungry to want or enjoy one....I mean it's a cupcake, what's not to like. Recently I discovered a new cupcake shop in Brooklyn, So naturally I had to stop in and give it a try. Before you knew it I had a dozen mini's and a couple of regular sized and was happily on my way home to indulge. They were so delish but if I had to choose a favorite it would be a tie between the vanilla-coconut & the pistachio.

The shop is called Sweethaus and I'm happy to report the cupcakes were absolutely DELICIOUS!!! They offer them in small batches of around 15 flavors daily so you will always get a fresh delicious cupcake. The store is simply adorable and has an old fashion feel. The shelves are filled with glass jars full of old time candy favorites and chocolates.

This mom & pop shop originally opened in Charlottesville, VA and I am trilled that they are now in Brooklyn, NY. I will be stopping in again very soon and if you're in town you should too!

Miranda Restaurant located on 80 Berry Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is one of my all time favorites. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive, the food is absolutely delicious and always freshly prepared. Owned and operated by husband & wife Mauricio & Sasha Miranda, I can personally tell you that when you walk into their restaurant you will feel as if you are home. My husband and I have been dinning & brunching at Miranda for several years now, sometimes we'll even stop by late in the evening for a cup of their delicious, always freshly brewed coffee and homemade dessert (Tembleque is my personal favorite). So if you're in the neighborhood definitely stop by, keep in mind reservations  are recommended for larger groups.

Just a few of my favorites! 

Just got back from my trip to Boston where I spent some time and money on Newbury Street ! What a unique shopping experience. Located in the Back Bay area of Boston, Newbury Street is lined with the most charming row homes. These townhouses/brownstones, one more beautiful than the next, have been renovated with stores on one or more levels. You can find anything from affordable to high end, independent boutiques to popular chain stores, and everything in between. After all that shopping you will definitely want to put your feet up and have a bite, right? Well no worries cause they've got you covered. There's tons of cafe's and restaurants, including a very charming bookstore cafe called Trident where you can have a meal or just hang with a great book and a cup of coffee. Just thinking about the breakfast menu is making me hungry! There's usually a wait but worth every minute. Another great place to eat is Sonsie, the ambiance is relaxing, the staff is friendly, and the food DELICIOUS, probably, no ABSOLUTELY the best Cuban Sandwich I've ever had! There's a lounge area with a comfy leather couch & chairs, and they've recently added a Wine Room. You can spend hours walking up & down, going in & out of every store and you will want to come back for more. Aside from shopping & eating you can also find Specialty Shops, Salons & Day Spa's, Pet Shops & Pet Services, Electronics, Perfumes, Chocolates, Luggage, Art Galleries, I mean I can go on and on.......Oh almost forgot there's several Parking Garages, which is great because this is a tourist & local destination so it can get quite busy especially around the Holidays. Don't know about you but I'm a city girl at heart and for the most part I typically don't like shopping malls so this type of shopping is more my style. Even if you're not shopping Newbury Street is a sight to see, In my opinion one of the prettiest streets I've been to so far. If you're planning on visiting Boston please stop by you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to go back!!!
