My favorite Season is shortly upon us so I thought I'd share some of my favorite basics. These pieces can carry you through the end of Summer and beyond the Fall!
These looks are casual cool and easy to incorporate into your own wardrobe. I bet some of these pieces are already in your closet.
Here's a great example of how you can take your Summer maxi skirt right into the Fall!
I love everything on this page not to mention Gwyneth, a classic beauty with a great sense of style.
Here's a great example of some key pieces. Need to dress up your denim? Try adding a sequence top. How about leopard shoes with your little black dress. My favorite way to glam up an outfit is a statement necklace, what's yours?
I love and live in dresses most of the Summer. One of my favorite styles is a shift dress. Any body type can wear this style. It's loose fitting which is great, especially if you're not particularly feeling your best, or like me need to hide a few extra pounds from all Summer BBQ's and Grad Parties.
When wearing an LBD in the Summer Heat I like to pair it with bright colors and/or a bold pattern. I did this with my leopard/coral sandals and a pop of color on my lip. I also love adding Summer accessories like this cork clutch.
My husband & I celebrated our Anniversary a couple of weekends ago. We spent Saturday afternoon at Brooklyn Flea's Smorgasburg in Williamsburg. Delicious food, sparkling beverages, yummy treats, and were lucky enough to enjoy some tunes by the band Great Caesar. This Brooklyn based band not only makes great music, they also help raise awareness and fight for equality & human rights. You can check them out (here).
Later that evening we made our way to Salon Millesime where we enjoyed a nice dinner, a few cocktails, and music by DJ Erika Hamilton. All in all it was a great weekend in my little white dress. Hope you enjoyed yours as well!
Xoxo

It was a HOT one in the big apple but I managed to stay cool & comfy. Lunchtime cocktail with the hubs, then off to a backyard Bar BQ with family & friends. Overall a nice day, even caught some of the fireworks display right from my yard. Hope you all had a great one too!

Sneakers are typically not my thing but these have won me over! I've been on the search for a great pair with comfort being my first priority. I usually have trouble with footwear because I have a very high arch so finding the right fit can sometimes be a task. While at the doctors office I happen to pick up a copy of Runner's World Magazine which featured 'The Summer 2013 Running Shoe Guide'. These Saucony Kinvara 4 were listed as one of the top 15 for women. As I read the description the runner recommending them mentioned she has a high arch so I though, why not give these a try? Not only are they super lightweight and fit like a glove, but they're neon! How cool is that? I'm not one to believe everything I read but I can honestly say I am very happy with my new neon sneakers!
What's your go-to comfort shoe?

Miranda Restaurantlocated on 80 Berry Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn is one of my all time favorites. Not only is the staff incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive, the food is absolutely delicious and always freshly prepared. Owned and operated by husband & wife Mauricio & Sasha Miranda, I can personally tell you that when you walk into their restaurant you will feel as if you are home. My husband and I have been dinning & brunching at Miranda for several years now, sometimes we'll even stop by late in the evening for a cup of their delicious, always freshly brewed coffee and homemade dessert (Tembleque is my personal favorite). So if you're in the neighborhood definitely stop by, keep in mind reservations are recommended for larger groups. Enjoy! Just a few of my favorites!
